Well, it’s been a couple of busy days. Wednesday was a much more relaxed day, which I think we both appreciated. We both slept in late, and spent a good amount of time blogging and writing in our journals. Sarah went for a run. Unfortunately, at some point, Sarah lost her debit card. We spent around an hour and a half searching for it and retracing steps, but we never found it. She has transferred money to my account so I can take out enough money for her to live for the next three weeks until we meet up again in Italy.
After our search, we decided to walk around and enjoy Hafnarfjörður, the town where we were staying. We spent the next few hours walking along the pier. Our ultimate goal was a beautiful park on the other end of the pier, but we never made it. We were enjoying ourselves too much to rush.
The path along the pier.

Looking over the harbor.

Fishing.

Some beautiful flowers.

Another view. The water was so green. I was trying to capture it.

Looking out toward a lighthouse or church.
We wanted to walk all the way out there, but we never made it.

Interesting plants next to the water.

A friendly cat on our walk.

Climbing around the rocks near the water.

Fun with the camera.

Turning inland.

Graffiti artists working their craft.

More landscape.

The elusive purple flowers that are all over here.

Walking back home along the pier. Native wildlife. Interesting fact: Iceland has no poisonous species of spiders, as well as no snakes and no mosquitoes.

The beginning of the rain.

Mid-evening coastline.

After a while we started feeling hungry, so we made our way to a café and had a little something for dinner: crepes and hot chocolate. Then we went home again and watched the edited version of The Matrix. I rather enjoyed it.
